Care Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Coordinator to join the team working 9-5pm in Hockley Heath, Solihull. As a Care Coordinator you are expected to perform a variety of duties in the co-management of scheduling service for clients. The successful applicant must have experience being a Care Coordinator, will hold the minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care with a full driving licence and own car.

Your duties will include;

  • Coordinate staff schedules daily and ensure that all shifts are covered
  • Coordinate new starters shadowing and sign off calls
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both clients and staff members
  • Working together with the Seniors/Team Leaders in completing required Spot Checks
  • Participate in supervisions with recruitment team
  • Identify and report areas of recruitment needs to Manager and recruitment team
  • To participate in ‘On Call’ duties (for one week a month) and to offer support when seniors/team leaders are ‘On Call’ (on a rota basis)
  • Provide an up to date hand over for out of hours cover
  • Understand and monitor staff timekeeping
  • Be available to cover any outstanding client visits during and outside of office hours if required
  • Assist with Care Assistants annual appraisals
  • Participate in any Care Assistant disciplinary procedures, warnings and HR procedures
  • Understand and maintain CQC requirements and ensure that Bright Dawn Home Care meets the highest standards
  • Ensure the audit of client logs and MAR charts are completed monthly
  • Assist with mandatory training
  • General office duties

Senior Care Assistant 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join the team at Bright Dawn Home Care. You must have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar senior position. You will need to deliver care and promote a caring environment for Service Users through high standards of professional practice, which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the Service Users.

Your duties will include;

  • Supervising care staff
  • Assist with introducing new carers to clients
  • Support new carers through the induction process
  • Carry out Spot Checks on Care Assistants
  • Based in the community monitoring the care visits
  • To be ‘On Call’ on a rota basis to provide emergency relief to cover calls
  • Knowledge and ability to complete MARs
  • To ensure that each Service User receives care appropriate to their individual needs
  • Report any issues to management
