Team Leader 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join the team at Bright Dawn Home Care. You will work 35-40 hours throughout the week and you will work alongside the Care Manager and Care Coordinator to plan the service effectively and ensure care assistants are working to the highest quality. The successful applicant must have experience within the care industry, will hold the minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care with a full driving licence and own car.

Your duties will include;

  • Implement quality control systems
  • Providing support to all care assistants within the Solihull Borough and surrounding areas
  • To notify the office as required should the client’s risks change prior to the required reassessment
  • To provide care when care assistants are absence due to being off sick or cannot provide care due to unforeseen circumstances or holiday
  • To participate in ‘On Call’ duties (for one week a month)
  • To facilitate the practical induction/shadowing of all new Care Assistants in three different services
  • To identify any additional training needs of Care Assistants from spot checks and report to the office accordingly
  • To deliver MAR charts by the 1st of every month and return the previous month to the office
  • To report any changes in a client’s schedule to the office immediately
  • To monitor, supervise and mentor all Care Assistants in the field and to offer support
  • To ensure that all written reports and administration for the role are kept up to date including audits, MARs and Client Logs
  • To email an on-call handover to the relevant managers by 9.30am every morning when on call
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
